Horticulture Deptt holds ‘Kisan Pakhwada’ camp

Jammu, July 15: Department of Horticulture Khour under the Directions of Chief Horticulture Officer Jammu Dr Sarabjeet Singh, organized Kisan Pakhwada farmers awareness camp at Samwan Khour in presence of Block Development Council Chairperson Samwan Parveen Sharma. Speaking on the occasion BDC chairperson urged the orchardists to take full benefit of credit facilities under various schemes by registering themselves under KCC. He also called for mass awareness of farmers welfare schemes with the aim of doubling the farmers income.
Later, Horticulture development officer Khour Dr Amit Saraf also awared farmers about the various centrally sponsored schemes which are being implemented in horticulture sector and the credit available for the welfare of farming community. He also urged the PRI's to help the government in achieving 100% KCC coverage during the fortnight. The camp was attended by Sarpanch Anuradha, Nb Sarpanch Rajiv, Panch Chanchla, Panch Jyoti, Nb Sarpanch Tilak Raj, Panch Puran Chand, Madan Lal and progressive orchardists while maintaining social distancing amid Covid-19.The vote of thanks were delivered by horticulture technician Faju Ram.
