UDA hails J&K Govt for extending PDD Amnesty scheme

JAMMU, July 15: United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Spokesperson Rajiv Mahajan hailed J&K Government for giving extension in the PDD Amnesty Scheme to power consumers for payment of pending bills.
In a statement issued today, Mahajan expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu and Principal Secretary PDD, Rohit Kansal for showing their serious concern to the problems of common masses of Jammu region by extending PDD Amnesty scheme. He mentioned that UDA had raised the same issue on 29 June 2020 in view of the coronavirus pandemic and shutdown of all business activities across the country.
According to an order, issued on 3rd July 2020 in this regard, the last dates of depositing of first and 2nd installment have been now extended up to August 31, 2020 and September 30, 2020, respectively while the last date of depositing 3rd installment has been extended to October 31st 2020.
The dates have been extended in continuation of Government order number 121-JKPDD of 2020, dated 03-07-2020. The other terms and conditions of both the previous orders shall remain the same.
The signatories to the statement included Lt Gen (Retd) Pradeep Singh Mehta, Principal Advisor, Munish Sahni, Convener, IG (Retd) Sudhir Dogra, General Secretary, Co- Conveners Col (Retd) SS Pathania, Krishan Manhas, Satish Ponshi, Kulbir Singh Slathia, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Gajan Singh Khajuria, Rajinder Gupta, Rajeev Luthra, and others.
