Ramban, July 15: District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today handed over Motorised Tricycles (Scooty) to twelve specially abled persons.
All the beneficiaries belong to different blocks of district Ramban including Batote, Ramban, Khari, Banihal and Sangaldan. DDC appreciated the efforts of the social welfare department for facilitating the specially abled persons under different schemes. He urged the people to come forward and take benefits of the Social Welfare and other schemes launched by the UT and central government for their upliftment.
The scooties were provided by the State Rehabilitation Council under the Social Welfare Department to the beneficiaries who are physically challenged with more than 40% physical deformity and feel difficulty in moving about.
DDC was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer, Waheed -ur -Rehman besides other officers. |
