Ex-MLC seeks release of pending class IV list of Rajouri
7/31/2020 11:53:36 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, July 31: Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma has urged the authorities to declare the pending selection list of class IV in district Rajouri like it was done in district Udhampur. In a statement, Sharma said that the authorities should implement the judgment of Supreme Court, in a case relating to aggrieved candidates of Udhampur, Rajouri and Baramulla. While DC Udhampur has issued the select list, the same should follow in other districts in term of Supreme Court order, he said. The authorities had advertised class IV posts in 2006 in various districts, and despite interviews, select list were not declared for years together. The candidates approached the high court which directed holding of fresh interviews, which too were conducted. But still select lists were not declared. Now the Supreme Court in an SLP, state v/s Nazir Ahmed Yatoo (SLP Civil No. 707/2017) has passed directions relating to declaration of select list and issuance of appointment orders to the selected candidates, within a period of five months, from 3rd February, 2020 onwards. Since the list of district Udhampur, has been declared, Sharma desired that same be also be issued in district Rajouri immediately. He spoke to the DDC Rajouri besides conveying the order to the commissioner secretary GAD Manoj Dividi for doing the needful, at the earliest. He hoped that authorities would expeditiously decide the matter and do justice with the aggrieved candidates.
