SAMBA, Aug 2: A plantation drive was organized in Samba Forest division in collaboration with Degree college Samba at Samba. The chief guest on this occasion was Dr. Mohit Gera IFS Principal chief conservator of forests HOFF Jammu and Kashmir. Here Shushma Mahajan principal degree college welcomed chief guest on occasion of 71st Van Mohtsav celebration. Dr. Mohit Gera PCCF HOFF stated that such kind of plantation drives are very important to save environment. Senior officers of forest department who attended the plantation drive included additional PCCF Suresh Rai IFS, K Ramesh Kumar IFS Chief Conservator of forests Jammu, Samuel Changkija IFS Conservator of forests east circle.
During the occasion Forest department officials along with students and Faculty members planted saplings of various species of ornamental plants in the surroundings in degree college Samba.
