AJKLTF organizes workshop on importance of media in Education

JAMMU, Aug 2: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) organized an online workshop on importance of media in education which was attended by the representatives from different Districts of JKUT.
Vinod Kumar, veteran journalist and senior News Editor of Gulistan News Channel and Dinesh Manhotra, senior journalist and Special Correspondent of ‘The Tribune’ newspaper were the main speakers on electronic and print media respectively whereas Vijay Singh Chauhan All India Media Prabhari of ABRSM and Darshan Bharti All India Seh Media Prabhari of ABRSM were the chief guests on the occasion.
In first session of the workshop, Vinod delivered a brief lecture on the role of electronic media in the current scenario.
He suggested some points to be followed while using the electronic media for the purpose of either promoting education or highlighting problems concerning the education, society and teaching fraternity.
Darshan Bharti Seh Media Prabhari of ABRSM also spoke during the occasion. He stressed upon the teaching fraternity for the optimum use of the electronic media and social media for the welfare of the education, society and teaching fraternity.
During the second session, main speaker Dinesh Manhotra said that print media have a vital role in highlighting either the public issues or the articles of social thinkers/experts/educationists regarding the education or other issues of social and national importance.
He stressed upon the teaching fraternity to write articles based on the experiences in education for the improvement of the teaching-learning process.
