Anniversary of Article 370’s abrogation to be celebrated as ‘Ek Bharat’ Day

JAMMU, Aug 2: Former Deputy Chief Minister J&K &Senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta held a review meeting BJP Office bearers from Jammu District headed by Vinay Kumar Gupta -District President, District General Secretaries Ankush Gupta and Naresh Sharma, Secretaries- Karuna Chetri& Sanjay Mahajan, Mandal Presidents- Bharat Bhushsn & Neeraj Lucky Puri, Sahil Mahajan, Surjeet Sonu and other party activists to discuss upcoming programmes on August 5th in Jammu and Kashmir. The ongoing distribution of National flags for hoisting on August 5th in all wards, booths and panchayats of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was reviewed and the members were informed to reach out to public through all available social media and aware masses to sing national anthem after hoisting National flag between 9am and 11am followed by lighting earthen lamps in the evening in every household.
Kavinder Gupta while addressing the meeting stressed that all the programmes be celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm among the general public while at the same time following all the guidelines of Covid-19 prevention. Gupta emphasized special plans are in place for the BJP to celebrate August 5 as a historic day in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. On this day last year, the Bill to abrogate Article 370 and abolish Section 35A of the Constitution was passed by the Rajya Sabha under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He said under party president JP Nadda, the BJP has devised a 'One India Campaign' or 'Ek Bharat, Ekatma Bharat'. He said Nadda has personally taken an interest in ensuring that the message reaches out to every booth level he added.
Gupta took stock of the preparedness about the 15-day campaign to inform the inhabitants of Union Territory how August 5 should be celebrated each year as “Ek Bharat, Ekatma Bharat".
