Samba, Aug 3: The Social Activist Shiv Gupta raised the issue regarding the crises of un-precedence power curtailment in Vijaypur Town which has been un-lawfully and illegally imposed by t nexus of STD and EM&RE Employees Division Vijaypur on the common mass.
He said that the un-precedence curtailment of power opted by the STD and EM&RE Employees of Division Vijaypur is an appeasement policy and in the garb such appeasement policies the nexus is openly doing the corrupt practice. He labeled serious charges on Narotam Kumar Executive Engineer, EM&RE Division, Vijaypur and STD Staff. He said that the common man of Vijaypur Town is facing the burden of such luxurious people who have installed 3-4 A.Cs but legally they have obtained only one connection. There are about 350-370 approx. A.Cs legal connections as per record but there are about 6000 approx. illegal ACs connections are in function in Vijayur town. The nexus i.e. filed staff receiving Rs. 2000-2500 from per illegal connection holders; this system is continued w.e.f. March to Oct. every year. As such the illegal earning of nexus is Rs. 1.13 crore per month and per season the nexus earned Rs. 6.78 crores per annum. Narotam Kumar Executive Engineer and its subordinate staff holding the position at Vijaypur for the last 10 years consecutively due to the appeasement of policy of the superior officer sitting at Civil Secretariat, J&K. In order to meet up the consumption of power and in order to stomach the huge corruption, the employees of EM&RE and STD Division Vijaypur have prepared their own curtailment schedules. In these days the Vijaypur Town is receiving power 4-6 hours in a day.
