| DH Kishtwar first time conducts abdominal surgery involving use of GIA staplers | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Aug 3: District Hospital Kishtwar under the guidance of Surgeon Dr. Sajid Iqbal conducted a successful operation of Stapled ileo-Transverse anastomosis with right hemicolectomy for long standing enterocutaneous fistula.
Dr. Sajid Iqbal has said that the Poor patient from Kishtwar underwent surgery twice in a tertiary care hospital for recurring intra-abdominal abscess in 2018. Subsequently he had developed complications for which he was evaluated by different tertiary care hospitals in UT which referred him to higher centre outside state. The patient was too poor to afford to afford a visit outside state.
Surgeon District Hospital, Kishtwar, Dr Sajid Iqbal who successfully operated this surgery further informed that he was monitoring the patient and his treatment before surgery since 2019. He hails from District Rajouri is an alumnus of GMC Jammu. He has served in Haryana as Former Assistant Processor Department of Surgery MMIMSR, Ambala.
Dr. Sajid Iqbal thanked Hospital administration and the SHO Kishtwar Aejaz Wani for supporting the patient in every manner, Team Ababeel Kishtwar for blood donations and other supporting staff. |
