Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 3: In what could be an another sabotage to hide the mass scale bungling and corruption in Rural Development Department, after burning of Block Development Office of Block Dachhan, Kishtwar and Marwah Kishtwar District, the office of the Block Development Officer Warwan during last intervening night was also gutted in a mysterious fire incident pointing once again the finger of suspicious towards some employees posted in the block beside also towards those who were involved in mass scale corruption in the department as their aim was only to present the case that the record sought by the various people through RTIs was gutted in the same.
As per the details available with Early Times the fire in the block office was noticed by some villagers who raise the alarm and immediately rush to the spot, but could not save the building as the area has not fire tender service available. Under similar circumstances, the BDO office
Dachhan was burnt in 2016, followed by fire incident at BDO office Kishtwar and Marwah last year, but till date the mystery behind these three fire incidents is yet to be solved while at the same time the culprits involved behind the burning of BDO offices are yet to be arrested even after nearly three years.
The locals inform the “Early Times” that there is no electricity in the area and the finger of suspicious could be raised only towards the employees of the department which cannot be ruled out.
Like Dachhan and Marwah, BDO office Warwan also functions from Kishtwar and people believe that the burning of BDO office Warwan is symbolic to put the lid on the RTIs reply that can unmask the mass scale corruption in the said block, beside to scuttle the probes of allegations of corruption in the department. The people called for high level probe into these mysterious fire incidents.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara when contacted said that SSP Kishtwar has been asked to conduct the inquiry into the incident of burning of BDO office Warwan added that FIR has been registered by the police and investigation has been set into motion.
