Police solves blind murder within 48 hours, two culprits arrested

RAMBAN, Aug 4: Police have claimed to solve a blind murder case within 48 hours by arresting two accused involved in the crime.
According to police sources, an information was received through reliable sources that one unidentified female dead body was lying in the jungle of Shankoot Dooligam under suspicious circumstances. On this information Inquest proceedings under section 174 CRPC was initiated at Police Station (PS) Banihal. During the course of probe into the death of young lady, the police party headed by Inspector Abid Bukhari SHO PS Banihal immediately reached on the spot and took the dead body to SDH Banihal for identification and Postmortem. The dead body was identified as Shabina Bano, daughter of Bashir Ahmed Wani of Salar Wagan, Nachlana Tehsil Banihal Distt Ramban. After conducting postmortem dead body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites. During the course of inquiry into the death of deceased girl, it was found that the deceased girl having age approximately 21-22 years was having relations with one Aashiq Hussain, son of Gul Mohd Bhat of Sar Kastigarh, Doda and as a result had also got pregnant. Another associate of Aashiq Hussain namely Nissar Ahmed Zoda, son of Ghulam Hassan of Chanjloo Banihal was also having close relations with the deceased girl. On getting pregnant the deceased girl pressurized Aashiq Hussain for getting married, who in response told Nissar Ahmed to get feotus aborted by approaching some medical experts which they failed and in an organized way conspired to murder the girl. By executing their nefarious designs, Aashiq Hussain told Nissar Ahmed telephonically to bring the girl towards upper Dooligam forests and kill her. On 29/06/2020 Nissar Ahmed telephonically called the victim girl on the promise of getting her married with Aashiq Hussain towards Dooligam forest area and on reaching near the forest of Shankoot, they took shelter in the house of one Gujjar namely Israil, son of Makhna at Bari Nallah Dhok on the intervening night of 29-30/06/2020. In the morning 30/06/2020 at about 0800 hrs they left the house of Israil towards the jungle. He roamed with the deceased girl here and there in jungle thus waiting for the isolated place and opportunity to execute his plan. At about 1400 hrs at Upper Shankoot Nallah he found an isolated place and executed his plan, murdered the girl and fled from the spot after concealing the weapon of offence and other belongings of the deceased girl near the place of occurrence. On these findings, the inquest proceeding was converted into FIR No 115/2020 under section 302, 376 IPC and other relevant sections of IPC against Nissar Ahmed Zoda and Aashiq Hussain. Further investigation in the case is going on.
