The 17-year old victim girl who was critically injured had been shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. As per the details available with Early Times, the accused Suret Singh has lured his minor cousin sister during tender age and develop some physical relationship with him. The accused who was working as a labourer outside J&K had return home due to prevailing lockdown and was forcing the girl to continue relationship with him which the girl refused which infuriated the accused who today after finding the victim alone at home took her to nearby forest where both had heated argument.
After heated agreements, the accused slit the throat of the victim with knife and fled from the spot, leaving the victim behind in pool of blood.
