8/4/2020 11:59:26 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 4: Senior Congress leader from Kishtwar Er Raj Kumar Badyal and President Public Awareness Front (PAF) Kishtwar Shakir Siddiqui expressed surprise over the recent fire incidents in Block Development Offices in Kishtwar District including BDO Office Warwan which gutted in the mysterious fire yesterday. Congress leader said that mass scale bungling has been done in Warwan, Marwah, Dachhan and Kishtwar blocks so all these offices were gutted in fire in a similar way. “It is very surprising for the common people that despite of these fire incidents no enquiry has been ordered by the RDD department to reveal the facts and reasons behind them. It seems a case of whipping out the traces of corruption, malpractices and embezzlements of funds meant for the poor people of Kishtwar,” said Raj Kumar Badyal. He further said that government pretends to be the pioneer of development and saviour of poor, but actually what is happening on ground is not a hidden truth now. It is nothing but a serious conspiracy of hiding the plunder in RDD department which created huge loss to the Govt exchequer and public property,” he said adding that Kishtwar Congress demanded CBI enquiry in all such fire incidents related to BDO office Dachhan, Warwan, Marwah & Kishtwar and seek intervention of Lt Governor in this regard. Meanwhile, President PAF Kishtwar Shakir Siddiqui while snubbing the officials silence over the repeated menace of corruption in RDD department said that gutting of BDO offices under similar circumstances cannot be a coincidence.
