FAIVM urges PM to introduce centralized registration system for business

JAMMU, Aug 4: Traders urge Prime Minister to scrap trade license issued by Local bodies, instead introduce centralized registration system for ease of doing business for traders.
Federation of All India Vyapar Mandal (FAIVM), apex body of the nation’s traders, has urged Prime Minister, for the trade facilitation of Traders by centralized registration system by eliminating various trade licenses on trade by municipal corporations.
In its letter sent on 4 August, the FAIVM thanked the Prime Minister under his leadership; India has taken a leap in ease of doing business ranking to reach 63rd position. There is no doubt that there will be further improvement in this regard in future also.
Sanjay Bansal (President) FAIVM Jammu and Kashmir expressed disappointment that the Traders community, especially the shopkeepers under Municipal Corporation / Municipal board, are yet to get benefit of ease of doing business, as traders have to obtain number of licenses from Local bodies besides the central government, state government.
FAIVM has urged Prime Minister, to form a National Trade Policy like the National Education Policy for ease of doing business for traders.
According to Bansal, the proposed centralized registration system will prove to be a milestone in the self-sufficient India campaign, besides proposed centralized registration system will also help in developing local markets which is essential to generate more demand in market to boost economy.
