UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: District administration Udhampur has started a major Information Education Communication activities to ensure good health of the citizens and putting in place effective mechanism for further containment of COVID-19 pandemic in the District.
District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla, today chaired a meeting of the BDC Chairpersons and District Officers, here to discuss the modalities to be followed during the IEC campaign.
Detailed discussions were held on launching Tea table campaign, Observance of COVID-19 day fortnightly, Installation of hoardings, Sensitization and awareness of general public, enforcement of Social distancing and Mask wearing, maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation, awareness about Govt schemes etc.
The IEC activities would also focus on generation of awareness about the precautionary measures to be followed for containment of COVID-19.
The DDC asked BDC Chairpersons of the district to organize block level/ Panchayat level awareness programmes to generate mass awareness. The participants were asked to observe COVID-19 day fortnightly at district/block/panchayat level to generate the information among the public.
The officers were asked for effective enforcement of COVID19 SOPs. The BDCs and PRIs were asked to sensitize the people about the precautions and SOPs to be followed. The DDC also stressed on installation of Arogya setu app by all the mobile users. The BDOs were asked to ensure that BDC Chairpersons are involved in all activities.
