UPSC qualifier deletes twitter account after her old anti-India tweets resurface

SRINAGAR, Aug 4: A UPSC Qualifier from Kashmir on Tuesday deleted her twitter account after receiving a backlash for her anti-India tweets and calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘murderer of democracy’.
The UPSC qualifier deleted the twitter account moments after she broke the news of her qualifying the prestigious UPSC- Union Public Service Commission- examination. “Hard work and consistency is the key to crack this examination. I thank everyone who supported me to reach this goal,” she wrote on twitter and tagged a few known IAS officers.
After her tweet, netizens started digging out her old tweets in which she had called the Prime Minister ‘the murderer of democracy’.
The screenshots of her old tweets went viral following which the UPSC qualifier deleted her twitter account.
“He (PM) has already killed the democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. The sad part is that no Indian citizen stands against the barbarism done by BJP Govt in J&K. the internet has been restricted since August 5 2019 and even in these hard times (reference to COVID19 Pandemic),” her tweet reads.
Many netizens raised questions over her anti-India stand and said that the UPSC qualifier was a threat to national security.
Remember this year at least sixteen aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir have cracked the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil service exam-2019.
The list of 829 successful candidates made public by the UPSC on Tuesday included 16 from the erstwhile state including two from Ladakh
Among them include Abhiskhek Augustsya from Jammu is ranked at 38 followed by Sunny Gupta (148), Dev Ahuti from Jammu (177), Parth Gupta (240), Asrar Ahmad Kitchloo (248), Asif Yousuf Tantray (328), Namgyal Angmo (323) Nadia Beigh (350)–Kupwara, Aftab Rasool (412)—from Trehgam Kupwara, Sabzar Ahmad Ganie (628)— Hailing from a remote village of Gheeboom Kokernag, Majid Iqbal Khan (638)—a resident of shangus Anantnag, Stanzin Wangyal (716), Rayees Hussain (747), Mohammed Nawas Sharaf Uddin Sharafuddin (778), and Syed Junaid Adil (822).
The UPSC has declared the final list of selected candidates based on the result of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2019 held in September, 2019 and the interviews or Personality Test held in February-August, 2020.
