12,000 vacancies being sent to various recruitment agencies

Srinagar, Aug 5 : Around 12,000 vacancies-- both gazetted and non gazetted posts-- are being referred to various recruiting agencies in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said here on Wednesday evening.
He said Principal Secretary, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture Production, Horticulture and Cooperative Departments, Navin Kumar Choudhary on Wednesday chaired a meeting of Accelerated Recruitment Committee constituted by the Jammu and Kashmir government to accelerate the recruitment process.
Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment Department, Saurab Bhagat was also present in the meeting while as Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department (GDA), Manoj Kumar Dwivedi and Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Achal Sethi participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
The Committee discussed the filling of around 12,000 vacancies both gazetted and non-gazetted posts which are to be sent to the various recruiting agencies.
While discussing the matters, Principal Secretary, who is also the Chairman of the Committee, stressed on finalization of all the preparations so that the vacancies are filled up on immediate basis, adding that the General Administration Department will sort out the issues, if any, with the concurrence of Finance Department.
The members of the Committee gave various feedback and suggestions regarding the fast tracking of recruitment process to be carried out by the recruitment agencies.
Deputy Secretary GAD and other concerned officers were also present in the meeting, he said.
