8/5/2020 11:10:08 PM
Early times Report

Poonch, Aug 5: Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Jammu and Kashmir have been deprived of all regularization and promotion schemes since long and government is taking full time work from them. These SPOs are performing their duties round the clock and government is failed to constitute special norms for their promotion or regularization. In this regard Javid Iqbal Reshi, the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Insaaf Movement in a statement issued here today urged Union government to constitute special norms for Post Graduate, Graduates, 10+2 and 10th level educated SPOs. He said, “These SPOs are working round the clock same as permanent constable or other permanent police persons and government is paying them rupees 200 or 300 whereas permanent policemen are taking 1500 to 2000 rupees per day which is discrimination with this segment”. “No doubt all former governments have ignored these poor educated youth and it must be acknowledged that this Union government and LG administration of Jammu and Kashmir is also ignoring the segment” Reshi said. He said, rupees two or three hundred per day in this rising price time is injustice with these poor educated youth which should be stopped now. He said, “these SPOs can’t stage protest for their rights”.
He has appealed to Ministry of Home Affair, Government of India to frame special norms for all Post Graduate, Graduate, 10+2 and 10th level SPOs as per their service and fulfill all their genuine demands at earliest.
