BJP leaders hoist national flag across J&K on Article 370 abrogation day

Jammu, Aug 5: National flag was hoisted by Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir leaders at nearly 350 prominent places across the region on the occasion of 1st Anniversary of Articles 370 & 35(a) abrogation. “Tiranga” was hoisted at nearly 300 places in Jammu region and nearly 40 places in Kashmir region at places like BJP offices, Mandal Offices, in Wards and other prominent places like Chowks and rotaries inviting the participation from prominent civil society members. Besides these places, BJP activists also hoisted “Tiranga” at their rooftops with full fervor and celebrated the 1st Anniversary of Articles 370 & 35(a) abrogation. Large gatherings at all the places were deliberately avoided by BJP as far as possible to keep proper social distancing during the celebrations. BJP National Vice-President & Prabhari J&K BJP Avinash Rai Khanna, accompanied by J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina hoisted 110 feet long “Tiranga” at Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Chowk, Kathua. Ravinder Raina also garlanded the Statue of Shyama Prasad Mookherjee. Party General Secretary & former Minister Dr. DK Manyal, Spokesperson & former Minister Rajiv Jasrotia, President Municipal Council Kathua Naresh Sharma, Vice-President MC Kathua Rekha Kumari, DP Raghunandan Singh Bablu, Gopal Mahajan, Thakur Ranjit Singh, Municipal Committee Hiranagar Vijay Sharma, Jangbir Singh, Janak Bharti, Religious and social organization heads were also present. Ravinder Raina along with Dr. DK Manyal, District President Amar Singh and others also garlanded Statue of Maharaja Hari Singh ji and hoisted “Tiranga” at Veer Bhumi Park, Samba. Avinash Rai Khanna narrated that how Shyama Prasad Mookherjee entered Kathua with so many efforts to break Permit system and to achieve the dream of “Ek Nishan, Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan”. He recalled that Mookherjee ji addressed a huge gathering at that time at this very place and now his dream stands fulfilled.
