Havan performed to mark bhoomi poojan ceremony at Ayodhaya

Jammu, Aug 5: Acharaya Sanjeev Shastri on Wednesday organized Havan at his residence to mark Ram Temple bhoomi poojan at Ayodhaya . Elaborating on the importance of Ramarchan Pujan, Shastri said, "In our Vaishnav mode of prayers, Ramarchan prayers are taken from Bhavishtottar Khand. Before Lord Ram arrives, we invite and worship every important god and goddess. These gods and goddesses would acknowledge Lord Ram as their `Ishth` (god of worship). It is after praying to them, we begin prayers of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita."On this occasion, bhajans and kirtans organized to mark the auspicious day, while following guidelines related to Covid-19 in mind. Speaking on the occasion, Shastri said that while today, after a long wait for millions of devotees of Lord Ram , its finally the time to realise that their dream of a temple for their supreme god is being fulfilled. This battle began a century and a half ago and finally become a reality on 5 August, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the first brick for the foundation of the highly anticipated Ram Mandir in the holy place of Ayodhya.
Lakhs of Rambhakts (Ram's devotees) struggled for a long time of around 500 years. Due to their sacrifice and penance, as a result, construction of the temple has begun at the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya," he said. In independent India, this will be the second occasion when a grand temple will be rebuilt. The Somnath temple in Gujarat was rebuilt soon after independence. The then President, Dr Rajendra Prasad, had inaugurated Somnath temple, and now Prime Minister Narendra Modi today participated in the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Faith in Lord Rama is not limited to India, but people in many countries across the world have faith in him. This is the reason that holy soil, bricks, and holy water from rivers are being brought from countries for the construction of Ram temple, added Shastri.
