Jammu, Aug 5: After dissolving the J&K Excise and Commercial Taxes Employees Welfare Society (JKECTWS) Committee, the members of the Welfare Society have constituted a common platform for the good of all employees, serving as well as retired and formed an Adhoc Committee, a statement said on Wednesday.
It said the Adhoc Committee has been formed with the consent of the members and after following all the norms.
The statement said that the Adhoc Committee members have kept two years for any Executive Body headed by a President and the purpose is clear to keep the affairs of the welfare society running in neat and clean way.
If any Executive Body headed by president doubles that period, it’s clear violation of the by-laws.
The statement said that not to hold the timely elections violates principles of democracy
Quoting the acting president of the Society, Hakam Singh, the statement said that he has been entrusted with temporary function of acting president for sole purpose to elect new executive body, which is overdue without any cogent reasons on record.
A meeting of the adhoc executive committee will be called in the future to discuss and deliberate over future course of actions for setting the things in proper way and as per by-laws, the statement added. |
