Sanjeev Vaid appointed Chairman of J&K Zone of Rotary International

JAMMU, Aug 6: Sanjeev Vaid, former President of Rotary Club of Jammu City, has been appointed Zonal Chairman for J&K Zone of Rotary International by Rtn. Davinder Singh, District Governor for Rotary District 3070, which includes UT of J&K, and the States of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Sanjeev Vaid has also been nominated as the Member of the Editorial Board of the District 3070.
Sanjeev Vaid shall be coordinating with Rotary District which is going to launch a Flagship Program of Cervical Cancer on 15th August 2020, a very important project for the girl child. Besides this he will also be actively involved in various other community service projects such as Eye Bank, Eye Hospital, Installation of E-learning facilities in schools, Adult Literacy and Vocational Training Centre for widows and single mothers.
He also plans to set up dialysis centres, toilets and wash stations in villages with the support of global partners.
Sanjeev Vaid, a successful business man and a versatile personality, joined Rotary in the year 2010. Dedicated to service for the welfare of mankind, he believes in promoting well-being of all without discrimination. In a short span of two years, he became Secretary of Rotary Club of Jammu City and its President in 2015-16.
Amongst other assignments he has also served as Assistant Governor and District Co-Chair for Artificial Limbs in the past. He has won many Rotary Awards such as “Service to Humanity Award” and “Service Above Self Award” and many other awards from other organizations serving the society.
