JAMMU, Aug 6: Highlighting the problems faced by the people of Basantgarh, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP & former Minister today called upon the govt to address the concerns of people inhabiting the remote villages falling in Latti and Basantgarh Tehsils on priority. He said that the far flung villages of the said belt were deprived of the basic amenities and were suffering immensely during the currency of Corona pandemic. The people had hardly any access to the corridors of power with helmsmen also indifferent towards the pathetic condition of the inhabitants of the area. He was addressing a delegation of people from the remote villages of the Tehsils.
Endorsing the demand of the local people for opening of a timber depot at Basantgarh, Singh said that the concerned authorities needed to respond to people’s demand at the earliest.
