NYK Jammu organises plantation drive

Jammu, Aug 6: A plantation drive cum COVID-19 awareness program was launched by Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports,Govt.of India) at Village Langotian Miran Sahib in which more than 200 saplings of different varieties including seasonal fruits and medicinal plants were planted by National Youth Volunteers, Youth Club Members and People of the respected Village.
More than 40 Participants participated in this drive.
Nisar Ahmed Butt (DYC ,Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu), Banish Handa, Sneha Khajuria, Sheetal & Sahil Kumar (National Youth Volunteer) Yash Pal Headmaster of Govt Middle School, Naib Panch Mohinder Lal, Rehmat Ali Social Activist, Maskeen Ali, Panch Krishan Lal & Meenakshi, Ajay Kumar, Sahil Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Gourav, Ritik, were also present on this occasion.
Nissar Ahmed Butt (District Youth Coordinator) and Banish Handa (National Youth Volunteer) also briefs the participants about the impact of ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic.
They brief the participants how to protect themselves from Covid-19 by following simple steps and guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) like - maintaining social distancing, regular hand washing, to keep hygiene, use of sanitizer and soap, wearing face mask, how to keep your immunity strong as the COVID-19 Pandemic is increasing day by day.
