8/7/2020 12:08:56 AM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 6: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (ECPFWA) reiterate its demand to redress the issues of paramilitary forces at the earliest. Addressing a press conference here today at Gandhi Nagar, Darshan Kumar Chauhan General Secretary of the Association said the association is making every effort to highlight the issues of paramilitary forces. Raising demand to fulfill the commitment made by the Prime of India during his visit to Leh on the eve of Deepawali-2019 that One Rank One Pension (OROP) will be granted to the Paramilitary forces, Chuhan said that but unfortunately the same is still awaited. He appealed to the Finance Ministry, GOI to release the DA with effect from January 2020 onwards on priority basis as the prices of every essential commodity is skyrocketing.
He demanded to waive off 50% Corona Tax enhanced after lock down in the para-military forces canteens. Besides, he also sought grant of similar benefits to the BSF, ITBP and NSG being all coming under the section 4 of Act, 1968 which too has been defined by the Ministry of Home Affairs GOI and framing of separate armed Force Services and pension rules instead of CCS Rules and exempt from New pension scheme (NPS) being Armed Forces emerged with Civil Act CCS 72 of GOI. Chauhan also demanded CSD Canteen facilities instead of Central Police Canteen (CPC) as per previous procedure before 2014.
