Jammu, Aug 7: Vishal Khatri Sabha (VKS) on Friday hailed the appointment of Manoj Sinha as new Lt Governor J&K and expressed hope that his appointment would help ease the situation in J&K. In a meeting held here, President Vishal Khatri Sabha Devender Seth said that amid persistent demand to initiate political activities in J&K to provide platform to aggrieved people to raise their issues, there is every likelihood that with Sinha taking charge political vacuum that was created last year with the bifurcation of the state into two Union territories and the abrogation of Article 370, will be filled. Seth expressed confidence that with appointment of veteran Sinha, who has been in active politics since the early 1980s, is likely to help create a conducive atmosphere in J&K. |
