Manjit Singh expresses concern over unscheduled power cuts in Vijaypur

Vijaypur, Aug 7: Jammu and01 Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) senior leader and former minister, Manjit Singh has expressed serious concern over unscheduled power cuts in Vijaypur. In a statement to the press, the former minister said that the people are facing shortage of water supply because of unscheduled power cuts which has crippled normal life.
To highlight their demands, a deputation of people led by former minister Manjit Singh called on Chief Engineer, PDD and they appraised him about the suffering of the people in Vijaypur. On listening to the deputation of Vijaypur people, the Chief Engineer assured that they will enhance the capacity of the Receiving Station. “We are assured that the electricity supply will be streamlined by the department with augmentation to 6.3 MW,” said Manjit Singh quoting his interaction with the Chief Engineer, PDD. He said that the farmers are unable to water their fields at the tail-end villages of Ramgarh in Vijaypur due to unscheduled power cuts. “The normal life has been crippled due to the power crises. Not only town, but villagers have been suffering badly,” he added. The deputation comprises of Nikki Mahajan, Rajan Gupta, Pawan sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Brij Mohan Dutta, Kapoor, Kaka.
