Celebrations Shatter Myths
8/7/2020 11:43:04 PM
Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai reverberating in Kashmir on the first anniversary of the abrogation of J&K’s special status is a big jolt for the so-called mainstream leaders in Kashmir who used to claim that no one in the Valley will hoist the tricolor if Article 370 is scrapped.
During the past one year many myths have been shattered.
It has been proven beyond doubt that Kashmir centric leaders always misled the people and New Delhi.
The celebrations which were held across the Valley on August 5, 2020, have driven home a point that Kashmir is not only about National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party and other regional parties.
The people who joined these celebrations defied the terrorists, who have been off late targeting the political workers to create fear psychosis. A message has been sent that days of preaching separatism and sedition are over.
The Kashmir centric parties should read the writing on the wall and understand that no one is interested in their theatrics anymore. They will have to muster courage and tell the people that for the past seventy years they have just been selling lies to remain in the power and their politics revolved around just ruling Jammu and Kashmir.
Common people have understood that these leaders lacked sincerity. When all the top leaders of Kashmir were placed under detention after August 5, 2019, not a single protest was held in the Valley to seek their release. It proved that they didn’t enjoy any mass following.
The Kashmiri centric leaders who emerged after 1990 could only manage to get 5% to 10% votes as people used to reject them outrightly. Despite having no standing these leaders used to claim that they represent the people.
Now the time has changed, the young leaders who have emerged on the scene are very clear in their thought process.
They are not showing any dreams to people nor are they trying to sell illusions. By hoisting tricolour these youth are sending a clear message that Kashmir is India and the people who are challenging it are liars.
The time of deceit and raising hollow slogans is over.
Message is loud and clear that family rule has ended in Kashmir and Pakistan stooges have been winded up.
No street protests taking place during the past one year have proved it beyond doubt that the orchestrators have been cut to the size.
