RAMNAGAR, Aug 7: To mark the celebration of International Youth Day on August 12 with current year’s theme “Youth Engagement for Global Action” and in accordance with directions from J&K AIDS Control Society, Department of Health & Medical Education, Govt of J&K, Red Ribbon Club of GDC Ramnagar has planned to organize a month long series of events. In this connection, the first event on Slogan Designing was held today. The participants had to write slogans to raise awareness on 3 topics viz, COVID-19, HIV AIDS and Drug Abuse. Many responses were received from various colleges from the J&K UT and outside as well. The best slogan award was awarded to Manik Kumar from GCET Jammu. The slogan was “Spread the Knowledge, Not the Virus, If you want to live Long, Say no to Unprotected Encounter”. The second position was bagged by Diksha Mahajan from GDC Ramnagar and Neha Rani from Govt CoE Jammu. The third position shared by Priya Rani from GGM Science College and Sakul Kharka from GDC Ramnagar. The participants with good slogans will be awarded e-certificates. The event was held under the guidance of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar, who always supports and encourages his staff to conduct these activities. Prof Ritika Mahajan, Convener of Red Ribbon Club and Prof Rohit Gupta, Prof Ram Krishan and Prof Swarn Singh- members of Red Ribbon Club, organized this slogan making competition. |
