Doda admin finalizes arrangements for Independence-Day

DODA, Aug 7: Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a meeting to finalise the Independence Day Celebration arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the main function will be held at Sports Stadium, where Chief Guest will unfurl the tricolour and take salute at the March Past Parade.
The contingents of J&K Police, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, FPF, SSB, Senior and Junior NCC wings and District Police Band shall participate in the march past.
It was decided that the cultural programme would be restricted to 5 to 7 items with participation of 10 people in each presentation to prevent Covid threat.
The DC directed all the departments to put up their tableaus as per the past practice to highlight the key activities of their department.
It was also decided that all the participants shall be provided hand gloves and face masks, while Health department was directed to place covid counters with hand sanitizers at the venue.
The DC also directed all the departments to give the name of the officials with outstanding achievements to the screening committee for their felicitation.
Strict adherence to Covid-19 protocol during Independence Day celebration was stressed upon.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Mumtaz Ahmed; ADC Kishori Lal Sharma; ACD, Prem Singh Chib; ACR, Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani; beside other key officials of Civil administration and Para Military forces.
