Early Times Report

JAMMU, Aug 7: Intensifying their stir to awaken and educate the general public about their rights and neglect at the hands of successive governments, the active members of Paddar Welfare Front (PWF) held extensive tour of various Panchayats under the leadership of its President Mohinder Rana who addressed public meetings at Panchayats Teyari, Sohal, Gulab Garh, Kundal, Jar, Laddar etc. Various young speakers cautioned the public about the probable danger to their future generations in case incessant and perpetual discrimination is not brought to an end.
Mohinder Rana, President of the Front, while addressing the gathering gave live example of Zanskar on the north and PANGI (HP) on the eastern side of Paddar that both these areas were dependent on Paddar in respect of rations and other essential commodities besides these areas are still being in relation of Roti & Beti but Paddar lags far behind Zanskar & Pangi as these area have been declared as Hill Development Council & Scheduled Tribe with constitutionally guaranteed mechanism of governance through their own representatives duly elected by them in a democratic manner but sadly even our Mata Machail Shrine Board has not been constituted which has given name and fame to Paddar and boosted tourism, in the area and hence, he said that time has come to unite so that we get our due share in all spheres of life.
