Muskan Foundation urges donors to donate building materials for poor

Samba, Aug 8: Parveen Sangral President of Muskan Foundation, Vijaypur convened a press conference at Vijaypur. While interacting with the media persons told that few days ago she had visited the village Naid Panchayat Halqua Dhora Tehsil and Distt. Samba J&K UT and met with specially abled person namely Shamsher Chand S/o Shangaroo Ram. She called the meeting of Panch, Sarpanch and Chairman Block Development Council to identify the land for construction of pacca residential house of Shamsher Chand. She had assured that the disability pension of Shamsher Chand shall be provided as soon as disability certificate will be issued to him from the competent authority. The Chairman BDC, Sarpanch, Panch also assured that the land shall be identified abutting the approachable road so that Shamsher Chand can easily move. Parveen Sangral told that many donors upon the request made by the Muskan Foundation have donated the funds for construction of residential house. In the meeting we instruct the wife and other family members of Shamsher Chand not to withdraw any amount from the said account. Because donors have donate that amount only for construction of pacca house but on 5th August she withdrew a huge amount of Rs 20,000/- without informing Muskan Foundation, the Panch, Sarpanch, BDC Chairman, Sangral further said, it is regretted that the wife of said Shamsher Chand had with connivance of her near and dear had mis- appropriated the fund donated by the donors and has not used the funds for which purposes the donors have donated to said Shamsher Chand. She appealed the donors not to donate the funds in cash directly to said Shamsher Chand and provide the material if Shamsher Chand start the construction work of his residential house.
