UFD Jammu conducts plantation drive at Police Colony, Gladni

JAMMU, Aug 9: Urban Forestry Division (UFD), Jammu, today conducted a plantation drive, here at J&K Police Housing Colony Channi Himmat in collaboration with 16th Battalion of IRP Jammu.
Commandant 16th Battalion IRP, Anita Sharma planted saplings in the premises of housing colony in presence of SP IRP, Suresh Kumar Chib; SP IRP, Pritpal Singh; Inspector, Rajesh Rana; and all ranks of IRP Jammu.
The drive was conducted under Institutional plantation and 1300 saplings of different species were planted in and around the grounds, along the roads of housing colony and small parks inside it. Range Officer Rakesh Verma and the staff members of Sunjwan Range conducted the plantation drive.
A similar drive was conducted at PHE headquarters Gladni, where Executive Engineer, Ashwani Sethi planted saplings of Neem in the premises of the headquarters.
In all 85 saplings of different species were planted by the staff of PHE and Sunjwan Forest Range.
The drives were conducted under the supervision of Pr. Chief Conservator Of Forests J&K, Dr. Mohit Gera; Chief Conservator of Forests Jammu, K. Ramesh Kumar; Conservator of Forests East Circle, Simuel Chankgjia; and Divisional Forest Officer Urban Forestry Division Jammu, Sunil Singh.
