Director Horticulture conducts extensive field visit of Rajouri

Rajouri, Aug 9: Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak, KAS made an extensive tour of District Rajouri where he inspected the Fruit plant nursery Siot besides visiting other field Horticultural activities on the way enrouting Rajouri.
During the inspection, he was apprised about the progresses being made in various developmental activities in the nurseries as well as in the field. Director Horticulture Jammu also kick started the plantation drive by planting the Citrus fruit plant in the field of, Sham Sunder son of Lakshmi Das resident of Thichka, Sunderbani where compact 10 Ha command area shall taken for new plantation under High Density plantation. He also briefed the orchardists about the various schemes being implemented by the Department of Horticulture, Jammu and avail maximum benefits. He checked the orchard of Ved Parkash at Dandesar and Kuldeep Singh of Rajpur Kameela, Nowshera besides new pit digging in the adjoining area. However, the Director instructed the concerned officers/officials to work with zeal and dedication and left no stone unturned to achieve the targets allotted to them for the year 2020-21 under different Horticulture Developmental schemes including Budding/grafting of fruit plants besides producing root stock in time.
