GBM campaign witnesses slew of activities across Reasi district on Day- 3

REASI, Aug 10: Third day of ongoing week long sanitation campaign “Gandagi Mukt Bharat” (GMB), today witnessed slew of activities at various places of district Reasi.
District Development Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib; Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Anirudh Rai and BDOs monitoring the activities being undertaken across length and breadth of the district as a mission to achieve a goal of neat and clean society.
The campaign began with Shramdan in blocks- Thuroo, Mahore, Pouni, Reasi, Katra, Panthal, Bhomag, Arnas, Thakrakote, Jij, Chassana and Gulabgarh. All BDOs showed keen interest in leading the campaign. The field functionaries, in collaboration with PRIs, cleaned the government offices, public places, streets and institutions. White washing of Panchayat Ghars, toilets and community sanitary complexes also formed the part of the campaign. Pledge to stay committed towards the mission throughout the life besides adopting cleanliness and sanitation as habit were taken by the local people, while evincing keen interest in the activities. The Sarpanchs and Panchs also motivated the local people of their Panchayats for keeping their surroundings neat and clean. They also appealed the local people to come out of their homes and actively participate in week long programme by following all COVID-19 guidelines.
