| Vision Kashmir congratulates Sinha on assuming charge as LG J&K | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 10: Members of Vision Kashmir held a meeting here today wherein they congratulated Manoj Sinha on assuming charge as LG JKUT.
While highlighting their plight, Convener Vision Kashmir Sunil Fotedar expressed hope from the office of LG JKUT that the long pending demands of over aged youth of the displaced community will be given immediate attention. Sunil Fotedar said that days and nights are turning longer and the hope of getting justice is becoming bleaker day in and day out for the displaced relief holders and over aged youth as no one has till date been able to take iota of responsibility to provide any solace to their oozing wounds and scars being continuously their destination from last 30 years.
He further said that due to complete lockdown since 23rd March nearly 20563 families of relief holders who were already living a life of depravity and now their financial worries added more miseries to them. Since Over aged relief holders are completely dependent on cash assistance, they have been hit hard on the economic front and are now heading towards serious financial implications and the entire generation is almost getting wiped out due to economic instability, leading to physical and psychological stress among them.
Other members of Vision Kashmir said that the misfortunes of relief holders has multiplied to such an extent that they continue to struggle to deal with their basic amenities for their sustenance.
In an appeal to Lt Governor and Secretary Relief, Revenue and Reconstruction, the members of vision Kashmir urged them to look into their genuine demands. |
