| Restore political activity in valley, release detainees: Narinder Singh | | | JAMMU, Aug 10: Former Director Information, Narendra Singh in a statement issued here today has said that J&K State was an integral part of India even under the provisions of Article 370. He said that people of the erstwhile J&K state were enjoying only certain privileges and benefits with the provision of special status, it’s not because of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A that the State became part of India. Singh said that no doubt abrogation has been done under the provision of law but politicians are always are in the habit of making events for their political benefits. At present there is no political activity in the valley as the leaders of the mainstream political parties have been detained or PSA has been imposed on them which is against the democratic norms. The need of the hour is to restore the political activities in the valley by releasing the political leaders who have been detained.
