I-Day arrangements finalized at Reasi

REASI, Aug 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, today convened a meeting of the concerned officers to review arrangements for the Independence Day, 2020 celebrations.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at sports stadium, where the Chief Guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the march past to be presented by contingents of Police and para-military personnel.
Reviewing the security arrangements, the ADC asked for adequate deployment around the main venue. The Traffic department was directed to identify space for parking of vehicles near the venue.
Other arrangements, which were discussed in the meeting, include arrangements of seating, illumination of buildings, barricading, PAS, drinking water facility etc.
The ADC directed the concerned officers from PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply on the scheduled day. He also asked the concerned from Health Department to ensure adequate healthcare arrangements at the main locations with adequate staff, ambulance and medicare facilities. He also called for strict adherence to Covid protection protocol.
The EO Municipality Reasi was asked to sanitize the Sports Stadium and adjoining area on the National Day.
The meeting was attended by ACR Sanjay Badyal, CEO Education, Functional Manager, CMO, CEO Municipality, District Youth Welfare Sports Officer besides other concerned.
