JKCT slams ZEO Sunderbani for failing to implement govt order

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 11: Jammu & Kashmir Council of Teachers (JKCT) slammed ZEO Sunderbani for failing to implement JKUT Government Order No 208–F of 2020 dated 24/07/2020 whereby it was directed to release salary of all the employees for the month of July by 30th of July due to festivals like Eid and Raksha Bandhan.
But ZEO Sunderbani so far has failed to adhere to the government order and not released salary of the employees.
Chairman JKCT Rajinder Sharma said that the employees of Zone Sunderbani urged the authorities to give consideration towards the genuine demand of the employees to release their salary for the month of July 2020.
He said that everyone was enthusiastic by the promise of advance salary from the higher authorities but even after the promised date employees couldn’t get salary as per the circular, adding that due to delay in release of salary they are feeling strained.
“We are salaried employees having no source of extra income which can mitigate our livelihood,” said Sharma.
JKCT further alleged that ZEO Sunderbani always delay salary of the employees, in contrast all other DDOs release salaries of their employees in time.
JKCT demanded immediate release of salary of Zone Sunderbani employees and action should be taken against erring officer. Meanwhile, when contacted ZEO Sundarbani said, “Due to technical problems the data was not sent to treasury office.” However, he assured that the demand will be fulfilled at the earliest.
