JSSK students participate in Virtual MUN 2020

Jammu, Aug 11: The students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua (JSSK) participated as delegates at virtual MUN 2020 organised by Erudite Young Minds amidst covid19 pandemic.
The event was organised virtually where approximately 250students from 18 different schools participated with great enthusiasm, energy and valour.
The MUN is run just as the real United Nations in New York with the same officers and committees right up to the Security Council. Delegates have to keep to UN rules on procedure, proceedings and dress even in formal attire at all times.
The educational purpose of this Conference was the sensitization of young people concerning global issues of political, humanitarian, cultural, developmental, and environmental interest.
In addition, students were given the chance to improve their rhetoric skills, upgrade their knowledge of communication in English which was the official language of the conference, and accept dialogue and negotiation as the only means of solving a conflict.
“Our proud delegate Citizen 19 namely Nandini Bawa of Class 11th was rewarded honourable mention.”
Indeed a matter of extreme pride , prestige and honour Mili R Sumbria, Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua congratulated all delegates, the entire delegation comprised of 10 delegates.
