Jammu School Education’s week long digital I-Day celebrations in full swing

Jammu, Aug 11: The week long celebrations campaign on the occasion of Independence Day started on August 8, are in full swing with teachers, faculty and students participating with enthusiasm via digital mode. The programmes shall calumniate on August 15.
The weekly celebrations cum activists will calumniate on the eve of 73rd Indian Independence Day-2020.
Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta here on Tuesday said that during Weekly Activity Calendar the beginning of online campaign was held on August 8 by head boys/girls/NCC/NSS/NYKs volunteers in schools through whats app/text messages/You tube/videos on the themes including ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ (ANBA), Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat, Unity in Diversity, My Rights and My Duties or any other patriotic theme.
An online drawing competition will be held on the theme “Quit evil social practice” like Society against child labour, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, respect for elders, specially abled, transgenders etc.
Learning about saving Environment, Water, Electricity at your home with theme Reduce, Reuse and Recycle was held on August 9. It was part of the learming by doing exercise.
On August 10, Patriotic debate competition on the theme ‘My India is my Pride’ was held wherein students participated by showcasing their patriotic feelings by poem recitation, singing a patriotic song etc.
She said that on August 12, Patriotic poetry, songs and slogan writing day On International Youth Day was held with the participation of all students and on August 13 Online Quiz Competition on Freedom struggle and ANBA will be held.
It was informed that on August 14, Communal Harmony, National Integration day will be held and learners have to write an article on the Ways, practices and means to ensure in mutual co-existence in society.
And finally on August 15, Independence Day will be celebrated by hoisting National flag.
Wearing fancy, traditional, ethnic or religious dresses students shall host Tricolour at their homes and share it virtually. The same applies for all the students studying in all government as well as Private institutions of Jammu Division and reporting of participation through the already in vogue digital medium for virtual classes shall be mandatory.
Top three prizes for each group will be announced on August 15, she said adding that besides the weekly programmes, a mega online event involving students and teachers of Govt as well as private schools shall be held on August 14.
