Arun Mehta chairs 11th BoDs meeting of JKIDFC

SRINAGAR, Aug 11: In its 11th Board of Directors meet held here under the chairmanship of Financial Commissioner Finance, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, the Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) approved 92 developmental projects worth Rs 521.82 crore.
Principal Secretary School Education, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon; Principal Secretary Revenue, Dr. Pawan Kotwal; Principal Secretary PDD and Information, Rohit Kansal; Principal Secretary R&B, Shailendra Kumar; Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella; Secretary Jal Shakti Department, M. Raju; Secretary Rural Development Department, Sheetal Nanda participated in the meeting.
The projects that were approved in the meeting included 36 projects of Health &Medical Education Department worth 299.19 crores, 38 projects of R&B department worth Rs 146.52 crore, 12 projects of Technical Education department worth Rs 37.24 crore, 5 projects of Higher Education department worth Rs 37.27 crore and a project of Revenue department worth Rs 1.6 crore.
These projects are high impact, public utility projects that have a potential of turning around the developmental scenario of J&K. All of the approved projects have great public importance and once completed will benefit thousands of commoners. Approved projects include roads, bridges, infrastructure related to health, education and rural development.
Some of the projects that have been approved in this meeting include machinery and equipment for Director Health Services Jammu worth Rs 61.90 crore, machinery and equipment for Director Health Services Kashmir worth Rs. 56.92 crore, balance amount worth Rs 47.35 crore for completion of 500 bedded Pediatric Hospital Srinagar, machinery and equipment for 200 bedded Maternity Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu worth Rs 40.00 crore, and balance amount worth Rs 10.82 crore for completion of 200 bedded Maternity Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
