JAMMU, Aug 11: Rajni Bala Corporator Ward No 60 today inaugurated open gym at public park Paloura, Ward No 60 in presence of prominent people of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajni Bala said that the newly established Gym will facilitate the recreation of people, especially youth, besides it would also help them to maintain their physical health.
She said that this was the long pending demand of the people of the area. The gym has been installed by Jammu Municipal Corporation. “This is part of an effort to make the Ward 60 a Model Ward and I hope to have support of the people in the future plans.
The open-air gyms will come up soon in other parks too, which are used by large number of walkers both during morning and evening. Similar facilities will come up in other areas which draws large number of fitness enthusiasts in the next few months and is meant to provide fitness enthusiasts an opportunity to use the facilities free,” She mentioned.
Rajni Bala asserted that the open gyms was installed with required number of equipments so that general public, locals, old persons and children can avail full benefit of these facilities in an open & eco- friendly atmosphere and inhale fresh air while performing different types of physical exercise & its related activities on routine basis. The gym will be accessible to the public free of costs, she said, hoping that these gyms would also help youth to keep away from drugs and focus on maintaining good health. |
