GDC Kalakote celebrates International Youth Day-2020

KALAKOTE, Aug 12: On the occasion of International Youth Day, Sports & Red Ribbon Club of the Government Degree College Kalakote in collaboration with JKACS organized painting, poster making and essay writing competitions on the themes “Mask Designing, Drug de-addiction, Covid-19, Public Health Crisis HIV/AIDS”. Participants from different schools, colleges and Universities actively took part in the event. In poster making competition Sanya Gupta, student of class 10th from Presentation Convent School Jammu, Anu Bharti, student of Master of Library Science, University of Jammu, Krishi Kumari, student of class 3rd from Springdale School Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
Whereas in essay writing competition, Varshu Gupta, student of BA 5th Semester from Govt. College for Women, Parade, Shruti Kumari student of class 9th from Jammu shared the first prize while Pardeep Singh Thakur, BA Sem-II and Rohit Singh Sem-II from GDC Kishtwar secured second and third positions respectively.
In Mask Making competition, Anuja Kapahi 5th Semester student from LPU Jalandhar, Kavisha Gupta, 5th semester student from Govt MAM College and Pragti Gupta of 12th Class from Govt GHSS Gandhi Nagar secured first, second and third positions respectively.
Dr Dinesh was the coordinator/organizer of all the events. Prof (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the College while lauding the organizers encouraged them to organize more such events in the future too so that the students can reap the maximum benefits out of them.
