Udhampur, Aug 12: The NSS unit of Govt. Degree College Udhampur celebrated international youth day by organizing painting /poster competition.
The first position was clinched by Kritika from BSc. Semester 1, while second and third positions were secured by Renu Rajput from BSc. Semester 1 and Ritika from BSc. Semester 1 respectively. On the occasion, NSS volunteers created a one minute promotional video on the topic “HIV: Stigma Free” in which the highlighted the importance of spreading awareness about this deadly disease among youth. Talks about precautionary measures and experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic were also made by the NSS Volunteers, among which were Rohit, Sonali Bharti, Kritika, Vansh Bakshi, and Sabyam.
In his message to the youth, Principal Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma advised the students to stay safe during the current pandemic, and said that they should utilize this time in studies and other productive activities such as learning new vocational skills which may help them further in their careers.
