Welfare scheme for workers; Labour deptt hosts series of awareness camps in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Aug 13: To disseminate information among the labour community of the district regarding JK Building and Construction Workers welfare scheme, the Labour Department Rajouri organizes series of awareness programmes across the district.
On the directions of the District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, the department held the awareness camps at different panchayats of tehsil Kalakote including Tatapani, Dali, Panjah, Breli etc.
A large number of labourers participated in the awareness camps with due adherence to Covid protection SOPs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh made them aware about the JK Building and Construction Workers welfare scheme of the department.
He appealed to the construction workers in the district associated with MGNREGA,BRO and those working with other private and Government construction agencies to get themselves enrolled with the labour department and avail the benefits being provided by the department for their welfare under the said scheme.
Meanwhile, other teams of the department visited several panchayats of the tehsil Thanamandi and Darhal and disseminated the information among the labourers about the JKBOCWWB scheme.
