JKSACS and SCN conduct online competition

Jammu, Aug 14: Stephens College of Nursing (Under the aegis of Dr. Aparna Education Trust) in collaboration with J&K AIDS control society (JKSACS) conducted online competition to observe International Youth Day under theme ‘Youth Engagement for Global Action.’
The main motto of organizing the competition was to engage the youth and to enhance their creativity and skills during the COVID-19 situation.
In painting competition the topic was based on “The public health threats like HIV/AIDS, Drug De-addiction and COVID-19”. In painting competition 1st Position was bagged by Tulsi Devi of B.Sc.(N) 1st year, IInd Position was clinched by Shabnam Mazhair of B.Sc.(N)-3rd year & IIIrd position was shared by two students Ajay Katoch of B.Sc.(N) 3rd year & Manshu Skolia of B.Sc.(N) 1st year. In Mask Designing Competition Rohit Bhagat of GNM 1st year bagged Ist Position, Shabnam Mazhair of B.Sc.(N) clinched IInd position, Tulsi Devi secured IIIrd position repectively. The Topic was based on the ‘Prevention against Pandemic COVID-19, HIV/AIDS & Drug De-Addiction’.
In GIF/MEME making 1st position was bagged by Shabnam Mazhair of B.Sc.(N) 3rd Year, 2nd position was shared by two students Tulsi Devi of B.Sc.(N) 1st year & Ashish Singh of Post Basic B.Sc.(N) 1st year and 3rd position was bagged by Varun Sharma of same class. Students made wondrous GIF & MEME’s based on the theme of HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 & Drug De-Addiction. In addition to above competitions one more competition was organized with focus to cognizant the general mass, especially youth.
The activity of this competition was “Promotional Talk/Video, the Topic of this competition was ‘Stigma free HIV/AIDS & COVID-19. Avneet Kour of B.Sc.(N) 2nd year bagged Ist Position, Jhanvi Slathia of B.Sc.(N) 2nd year secured IInd position & Shivani Dogra of Post Basic B.Sc.(N) 2nd year clinched III rd position respectively in these competition. All the students participated in these competitions wholeheartedly & with zeal, fervor & enthusiasm. All the competitions were coordinated by Ritu Gupta (Asstt. Professor & Activity Incharge) with the co-operation of Deepika Thakur (Deputy Director, IEC), Rishish Khajuria (Asstt. Director Publicity), Rajesh Sharma (Asstt. Director, Youth Affair, JKSACS) & Ashish Saraf (Divisional Assistant, IEC).
