Cong slams BJP for high inflation, low GDP
9/1/2020 11:49:35 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

KISHTWAR, Sept 1: Congress leader, Advocate Mohd Asif Naqeeb opposed the current economic policies of the central government which led to high inflation rate and low GDP in the country.
In a statement issued to press today, Naqeeb said that BJP made dozens of promises to the people of nation but none of them was fulfilled. Now, they are acting as a mute spectator to their sufferings.
“During 2014 and 2019 polls, BJP made tall claims of creating jobs for the youth, however, the unemployment rate is increasing in the country” he said. Naqeeb slammed BJP for the falling growth rate of the country.
He alleged that the Centre was not taking any “effective steps” to improve the economic situation of the country.
He said that sections of society are facing difficulties and Centre should take effective measures to improve the current situation.
As per the data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO), India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the April-June quarter (Q1) slipped by a sharp 23.9 per cent.
Naqeeb asserted that BJP had made a false promise to the people of the nation to give them “Acchey Din” but in reality they are giving us expensive and bad days by increasing the prices of essential commodities.
He said BJP had promised to curb inflation and cut down the cost of basic amenities but nothing has been done in this regard and the price of everything has been immensely increased to protect interest of big business houses.
Naqeeb stated that people had enough dose of mis-governance in the Jammu and Kashmir for last six years, saying people have realized that they have to support Congress which can address their issues and fulfill their expectations.
