WBF expresses resentment over suspension of Tehsildar Jammu (Khas)
9/1/2020 11:59:29 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

AKHNOOR, Sept 1: World Brahman Federation (WBF) expressed its resentment against the decision of administration for suspending Tehildar Jammu (Khas). Addressing a press conference WBF General Secretary, Sushil Sharma said that Tehsildar Jammu (Khas) Dr Ravi Shankar was made a scapegoat for reasons better known to higher ups in the department. He said that Dr Ravi Shankar was punished for what he has never done.
Sushil Sharma while addressing media said that it is pity that an honest and dedicated civil servant has been victimized for being at the service of the common people. Dr. Ravi Shankar, Tehsildar, Jammu (Khas) has faced the wrath of the administration for working with efficiency under tremendous pressure. His public dealing has been up to the mark even in this Pandemic when panic has gripped the people who are acquiring the Domicile certificates.
There seems to be premium for inefficiency and humiliation for honesty and community service. He has been suspended for a crime which he has never done.
This is grave injustice. He said that public stands with Dr Ravi Shankar.
It seems that he is a victim of witch hunt and a conspiracy.
The civil society and the common people are witness to the honesty and dedication of this officer who has delivered with precision amid lack of infrastructure and human resource to cater to the immense pressure while issuing the Domicile Certificates, when online mode has disappointed the masses. He said that Tehsildar Jammu Khas has issued around 15 thousand domicile certificate through offline/ manual mode which is almost the highest by any Tehsildar.
