JKMEF raise issues of medical fraternity

Jammu, Sept 14: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employee Federation, Jammu held a meeting here today.
In the meeting burning issues raised by the leaders such as the holding of Departmental Promotions (DPC) of all categories of Health employees which is supposed to be done twice in a year but it was not done even after the lapse of three years. So many times federation projected the demand for DPC in front of the worthy Director health services Jammu but nothing comes out to date and again federation strongly demanded holding of DPC on priority so that employees may not suffer more. It should be done without further delay. And also demanded Up to date Seniority list of all the categories of Health employees of Jammu Province should be uploaded to the official WEB SITE (portal) immediately.
It was also demanded in the meeting that the Symptomatic COVID-19 positive front line Health workers of the Health department from safaiwallas to doctors should be shifted in suitable accommodation at separate special wards for treatment in Gandhi Nagar Hospital with full facilities. It will boost the morale of health employees and construction of a public toilet at DHS Complex also discussed. And demanded Martyrs status to health employee who died during duties in COVID-19.
During threadbare discussions in the meeting leaders of the federation decided that due to COVID -19 we have kept a lot of patience and stuck to the task of public service and remained steadfast towards fulfilled our responsibilities towards the public.
It is also pertinent to mention here that a meeting of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employee Federation and its sister organization was held at DHS Complex in Federation Office on 4th September 2020 and it was unanimously decided in the meeting to hold a protest Dharna on 15th September 2020 at DHS Complex to press the administration for the consideration of long pending demands of the employees. All these demands pertain to worthy Director of Health Services Jammu. In this, regards worthy Director Health Services Jammu fixed a meeting on 12th September 2020 with JKMEF leaders to discuss and resolve the concerned issues of employees but unfortunately, DHS was tested Positive with COVID -19 leading to the cancellation of the meeting. Keeping in view the sudden illness of DHS Jammu and on humanitarian ground it is unanimously decided to defer the Dharna.
The next course of action will be decided after meeting with Director as she resumes her duties. All the participants wish a speedy recovery of the DHS, Jammu .Those who attended the meeting are Ch Jarnail Singh working president JKGPA, Mr.KamalJit Sawhney Gen Sec JKGPA, Parafulat Singh Gen Sec JKMEF, S. R.P Singh Pub Sec . S. Jaswant Singh President OT Tech, Jasvir Rana Block Purmandal.
